The Fraser River Fiddlers

toe-tappin' tunes from Richmond, BC

Reviews

“You and your students did a wonderful job and have convinced us all that fiddlers will be a big
(hopefully next year bigger) part of Salmon Stomp. You were absolutely right about taking the kids
outside to bring in the audience. Great idea and worked so well. Many many thanks altogether.”
Natalie McHaffie, public programs manager, Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society
“I was delighted to hear the Fraser River Fiddlers. They are really fantastic [and] so enjoyable to
listen to! They have a great understanding of rhythm and appear to be confident performers.
As an audience, we are completely at ease that everything will go great. We can just smile
and enjoy. Bravo!”
Darrel Loewen, pianist and piano examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music
“Watching Grescoe at work with her young Fiddlers, one could tell she holds high standards.
The performers were polished and moved with confidence.  They performed old country melodies
of the early settlers–jigs, reels, waltzes and the great train music.”

“Get ready for a real treat when the famed FRF come to the Shadbolt Centre next week.
This lively troupe of young violinists have been delighting audiences for many years with their
toe-tapping traditional tunes, trick fiddling stunts and sweet ballads.”

A thank-you to the Fraser River Fiddlers!!!!! Everyone at Icelandic Harbour (Assisted Living for seniors) was pumped up after your performance. It was one of the best we have had in our facility. We were talking about it for days. Thanks again and we look forward to your next performance.

On January 25, 2009, the Fraser River Fiddlers performed at the Annual Robert Burns Luncheon of the Clan MacLeod Society of Greater Vancouver.

Over 100 members and guests enjoyed individual and group presentations by these young musicians. They demonstrated a truly professional and enthusiastic style well beyond their young years.

We heartily recommend your support for such devoted work that encourages and guides young people in their search for self fulfillment. The Fraser River Fiddlers are an excellent example.
